PUBLISHING PACKAGES ===================================== Agreement Between _________________________, Author Writer of: _________________ and Entry Way Marketing and Publishing and/or Digi-Tall Media P. O. Box 868024 Plano, TX 75086-8024 For Hiring Entry Way Marketing and Publishing and/or the staff of Digi-Tall Media to become with this manuscript my Editor and/or Co-Writer, Publisher and/or Liaison for (author) for the purposes of: Production and Print Publishing; as well as Mentoring, Editing, Co-Writing, Marketing and Promotion of Final Product Of Author's submitted written works: Date: _________________ By signing this agreement, I engage Entry Way Publishing to act as my editor/publisher/marketer and/or liaison for my written manuscript of fiction or non-fiction and/or book-length manuscript. This is not a contract claiming Entry Way Marketing and Publishing or anyone on their staff is a literary agent in any capacity. I do understand that they are not a public relations firm and are not staffed with employees that have extensive experience with acquiring television and/or radio interviews. These services would need to be acquired through a separate contract with them being the liaison and/or a separate company hired for these purposes. By my signing this agreement, I indicate that it is my understanding that Entry Way Marketing and Publishing and/or Digi-Tall Media are staffed with editors, co-writers, marketers, graphic designers, book cover designers, and publishers (both Entry Way Marketing and Publishing and Digi-Tall Media). It is for these purposes that my agreement is being pursued. Entry Way Marketing does have the ability to act as liaison and help writers find a full traditional publishing house to fit a certain genre if that is what is preferred. This too would be a separate contract between myself and the new publisher. This function can actually be performed before and/or after editing of manuscript is complete if I do not prefer Entry Way to be the final publisher. It is agreed to this day that Author agrees to employ VicToria Freudiger and/or editor(s) and/or graphic designers, and staff to act as: Editor/Publisher/Designer/Marketer via Entry Way Marketing and Publishing for the sole purpose of producing a published/printed book of one manuscript that will be printed and then marketed by Entry Way Marketing. All printed and E-books published by Entry Way Marketing will be distributed through various sources including: - Digi-Tall Media: www.digi-tall-media.com - Entry Way Publishing: www.entrywaypublishing.com - www.myspace.com/entrywaypublish - Amazon.com. After a final printed and/or digital book galley is approved, an E-book can also be produced if desired for the extremely low cost of $399.00. This E-Book can then be marketed separately via the above-mentioned sites. When an ISBN number is assigned EW/DT an immediate listing with Bowker will be acquired. All Bowker listed ISBN numbers are then picked up by Barnes & Nobles, Target, Borders, and other such companies. Often the books are listed with retail chains and other online bookstores.

Various Publishing Packages: All of the vanity press publishing literature packages include the following: • ISBN number • Copyright submission • Light editing (no book gets published by us without editorial approval) • Formatting of manuscript into Adobe PDF print-ready galley • Introduction of the book to be sold on the following websites: - www.entrywaypublishing.com - www.myspace.com/entrywaypublish - www.digi-tall-media.com - www.childrens-stor-e-books.com • Distribution of printed and E-books worldwide through Digi-Tall Media and other online and in-store bookstores • Author will receive various amounts of their printed book depending upon which package chosen • Entry Way nor Digi-Tall is interested in obtaining royalty rights to anyone’s books • The following publishing packages are begun with a one-time fee paid by author and can be paid for by either check, cashier’s check, money order, or credit card (all except American Express) and/or PayPal Various Publishing Agreement Packages: EWP I - Bronze: A one-time fee of $1,249.00 provides publishes of a manuscript of 100 pages or less or of a fiction, non-fiction or poetry. Author will receive 25 or less copies of printed book at no additional charge. Number of books depends upon if the book is hardback or softback and if it will be color or black/white * * * * * * * * * * EWP II - Silver: Manuscript of 101-124 pages or less of fiction, non-fiction, or poetry = $1,349. Number of books author will receive normally equals 35. * * * * * * * * * * EWP III - Gold: Manuscript of 125-149 pages = $1,500 – author receives 45 books * * * * * * * * * * EWP IV - Platinum: Manuscript of 150-199 pages = $1,750 - author to receive 55 books * * * * * * * * * * EWP V - DELUXE: Manuscript of 200-300 pages = $2,250 - This fee includes the above-mentioned items along with extensive editing (3 editors). Author will receive 65 copies of printed book at no additional charge. * * * * * * * * * * EW VI - Premium Manuscript Package: Manuscript containing 300 pages or more = $2,750.00. This fee includes the above-mentioned items along with extensive editing (3 editors) as well as the creation of a personal website for author to also sell his/her books from. Author will receive 75-100 copies of printed book at no additional charge. * * * * * * * * * * EWP – E-Book: A one-time fee of $558.00 will be paid for production of an edited manuscript (not already an existing book we have previously published in print format) of 200 pages or less into an E-Book format for placement on our websites: www.entrywaypublishing.com, www.myspace.com/entrywaypublish, www.digi-tall-media.com and www.entrywaymarketing.com. Said E-book will be downloadable via an Adobe PDF version after customer purchases. No sales tax or shipping fees apply to this package. Though this fee does include the ISBN number, Copyright submission, light editing, formatting, and some marketing in an E-book format. If in fact, your already published E-Book does not need editing, the fee to produce this E-Book for you would be $399.00. All of the above agreement packages include the following services: review and critique of the first chapter and/or the first three poems of a book-length manuscript. All print proofs of both the cover galley and text galley are approved by author before final books are printed. Book cover designs can be easily included in the above fee; however, some designs may require an additional agreement between artist, writer and cover designers, depending upon the quality of cover desired. Children's books which contain illustrations are a separate agreement and are often dealt with between the writer and the artist. For each of the above packages except for the E-book, after the print proof galley is approved, books will be provided to the author as part of the fee. The amount of books depends upon if the book is to be marketed as a hardback book or a softback book. A small amount said books will remain with Entry Way and Digi-Tall for the sole purpose of marketing and delivery at book signing events. A press release, flyer and 100 business cards are the final touches to this agreement between Author and Publisher. If none of the above agreements fit your needs, we can and will work on an hourly basis ranging from $35/hr. to $95/hr. depending upon the service needed. There is rarely a publishing, marketing, or distributing need that we could not provide. So please contact us if you need some quick and uncomplicated assistance. If the page count is over 300 pages, editing will be charged at the normal rate of $0.03/word. The one-time fee of the plan chosen can be paid all at one time – upon signing of this Agreement; or it can be paid 1/2 upon signing and then 1/4 at mid-point of production and editing is approved. Upon receiving an approved print proof galley, the last 1/4 will be sent and books will at that time be delivered. Payments should be made in the form of Cashier’s Check, Money Order or by Personal Check. Credit card payments are also available at this time. A shopping cart feature will soon be added to our sites to help sell the books after they are printed. If after six months (contract end date,) the Author has not paid the entire fee, a reinstate cost will incur before all editing/production/print will be completed as well as books being delivered. With this Agreement, no agent or liaison fees for marketing and/or hiring of large publishing house are included. These terms can be negotiated at a later date. However, we at Entry Way Publishing will encourage all authors to allow us to solicit agents who are signed up with the Literary Guild and/or who have experience in the genre in which you are writing. Author may accept or reject publishing offers secured by Entry Way and will deal directly with said publishing house. All large publishing offers will be reviewed and accepted or rejected in writing by Author. All writers who are seeking self-publishing will have to pay no future sale royalties or fees after the book is printed. We are not interested in obtaining royalties by acting as your agent. Those conditions may become remain part of your contract with another publishing house if you do not choose Entry Way. However, if you wish to employ Entry Way to do further marketing for your book, we are available and will discuss different strategies with you. This contract will be in affect for twelve (12) months. If after twelve (12) months, Entry Way has not produced and printed a finalized manuscript into book format and delivered the agreed upon amount of books to Author, the Author has the ability to solicit a cease production contract. Upon receipt via U.S. Mail Certified Return Receipt Requested/Proof of Delivery request, we will issue one third of the signed agreement fee to author. At that time, all production of said manuscript will cease. No other monies will be refunded to author at any time other than the following: If at the time the agreement becomes null and void outstanding distribution monies are due author, author will receive these monies at the date designated for all distribution checks to be distributed, not before these publicized dates. No distribution checks are issued upon demand by author or author's representatives, they are issued on the dates listed on this site. At any time, should either party feel this relationship is not workable; a certified return receipt letter shall be mailed within thirty (30) days of said discrepancy. A workable situation shall be at least sought out by both parties unless a dissolving is desired more by either party of this agreement. If said Agreement becomes null and void, 1/4 of the paid monies will be refunded if at least half of these agreed upon funded have been paid publisher. Said compensation for such employment is the irrevocable right to commissions deducted from all monies or other compensation earned by my literary work, electronic or audio rights to it, through agreements initiated or made during the period of nine months. This letter of agreement embodies the entire agreement between Entry Way Marketing & Publishing and Author concerning writer's written works. Said agreement and its terms and conditions may not be modified without mutual consent, expressed in writing. AUTHOR DISTRIBUTION CHECKS: For authors who do choose to use either Entry Way or Digi-Tall Media to become distributors for their books, the arrangements are usually the author receives 80% of the book sale and Entry Way/Digi-Tall receives 20%. All distribution checks for the author's portion of any sales via our services are sent out on the following dates only: * March 30, 2008 * June 30, 2008 * September 30, 2008 * December 28, 2008 No exceptions will be considered. The best method for distribution checks to be distributed is for the author to set-up a PayPal account and the payments will be made directly via that system on the above dates. Otherwise, on the above dates, checks will be mailed to the recipients of book sales only. No distribution checks will be issued by our companies for pre-ordered books that have not yet printed and/or been delivered by printer. Sold books will need to be collected on before they are considered part of the distribution process. Editor and artist distribution checks for their portion of agreements if so noted in separate contracts are distributed on the dates listed above.
